Identify the top and base
Record top length, width, thickness, and material. Photograph the underside, pedestal, trestle, aprons, fasteners, and any manufacturer label. Note existing cracks, loose joints, or chipped edges before anything moves.
Separate loose parts with care
Remove leaves using the intended mechanism. Keep extension hardware aligned and protect loose pieces. A glass top should never be assumed to lift away; identify pads, clips, fasteners, and damage before deciding how it can be separated.
Count the whole dining set
List chairs, benches, stools, extra leaves, and side pieces individually. This avoids a small “table” description turning into a much larger scope at the property.
Plan the turn, not only the doorway
Long tops may pass through a door edgewise yet fail at a nearby wall or landing. Measure the approach on both sides of the opening and note ceiling fixtures that reduce clearance.
Use this checklist
Choose the next step that fits the item
Albuquerque residential customers can check the city’s current large-item pickup rules for eligible curbside furniture. If the job needs indoor carry-out, stairs, disassembly, or a coordinated item list, prepare those details before requesting private removal.
Review the dining table removal service page or open the estimate planner.
